Introduction
Welcome to the first issue of the Incognito Newsletter of the schoolyear '09 - '10. With this new year comes renewal, a change of board, a change of pace. This of course requires a new theme, which we display proudly to you now. If you have any issues viewing this newsletter, we implore you to click the link at the top to see the new newsletter in it's full glory!

Incognito News
Change of Board
On the 6th of October, during the General Assembly, the new board of MSV Incognito was elected:
- Daily Board of Incognito
- Gijs-Jan Roelofs, Chairmain
- Ruud Wetzels, Secretary, Vice-Chairman
- Rutger van Driel, Treasurer
- Secondary Board of Incognito
- Lian Nouwen, Head of aKTie
- Daan Veltman, Head of proKTie
We will send around an invite for the constitutional drink when we have determined an appropriate date to celebrate this joyous occasion.
Call for Committees
With the beginning of the year comes, as stated before, a change of the guard.
As such we would like to ask you to consider joining one of the following Incognito commitees if their purpose is to your liking.

Yearbook
The Yearbook committee concerns itself with the construction of the Knowledge Engineering Yearbook. You can contribute by either helping in the design, by writing stories on the activities of Incognito, or both.
AKTie
AKTie is the committee that is responsible of organizing activities. If you have any thoughts on activities that should be hosted, or comments on the ones we already host, feel free to contact aKTie.
Proktie
ProKTie is responsible for all business relationships of Incognito. Their primary task is the organization of the Incognito Business Day. If you are interested in establishing future business relationships to help you find work once your study is finished, or see what options await you, the ProKTie committee is the place to look.
BoeKTie
BoeKTie organizes all book sales and maintains contact with our primary reseller, Selexyz. They are the ones that help you obtain books at reduced pricing.
Faculty News
Workshop: Prepare your Job Interview
The simulation job interview (individual!) is one of the very best ways to prepare for an actual employment interview. It allows you to gain experience and practice in answering questions which you are likely to be asked by the recruiter.
The career counsellor, who takes the role of the recruiter, will try to make the interview as realistic as possible. After the interview you will watch the video, discuss it and the career counsellor will give feedback.

Workshop: Choose your Master
The number of master's studies offered is very large and often lacks transparency, making it very difficult to choose. The workshop "Choose your Master" deals with the steps that need to be taken in order to make the right choice. This workshop will help you arrive independently at a well-founded, appropriate choice of a master's study. On December 14 the same workshop will be offered in Dutch.

Seminar: Double Click [Dutch]
Stage lopen en afstuderen kan met zo'n beetje alle studierichtingen.
Voor HBO- en WO-studenten met alle mogelijke achtergronden organiseert het Rijk
daarom Double-Click. Je leert mensen bij het Rijk kennen, komt meer te weten over
het werk (druk en dynamisch!), de werksfeer (informeel maar resultaatgericht),
stagemogeiijkheden (jij bent aan zet) en de maatschappelijke onderwerpen waar we
ons mee bezighouden (waarmee niet?).

Seminar: Self Organization [Dutch]
Op woensdag 11 november 2009 organiseert Stichting Zelforganisatie de eerste editie van De Nationale Dag van de Zelforganisatie. Dit seminar staat geheel in het teken van zelforganisatie: van zelforganisatie als theoretisch concept en concrete voorbeelden van zelforganisatie in de praktijk. Experts op het gebied van o.a. defensie (Generaal Dick Berlijn), lean manufacturing (Carolyn Corvi, ex-Boeing), zwermen (Charlotte Hemelrijk) en jeugdzorg (Peter Stam, Yorneo) laten zien dat deze nieuwe manier van organiseren onze samenleving op verregaande wijze kan beïnvloeden
Included are: Lunch and Drinks afterwards.
The normal admission price is €199,- , the reduced price for students is €50,-.
But Incognito has organized a special price for all those who are interested in attending the seminar.

Seminar: Rijkstrainee Masterclasses [Dutch]
Heb jij, bijna afgestudeerde student, al ideeën over wat je na je studie wilt gaan doen? Is werken bij het Rijk iets voor jou? Met een masteropleiding Economie, Bedrijfskunde of Techniek is er boeiend werk te doen bij verschillende ministeries.
Ontdek het zelf: kom naar de Rijkstrainee Masterclasses van 24, 25 of 26 november a.s. Denk mee over de liberalisering van de wereldhandel, mogelijke bezuinigingen op de studiefinanciering of het gebruik van aardwarmte als duurzame energiebron.

BOB II
27th October - 20:00 - Twee Heeren - Add to Google Agenda
As always, we organize a block opening drink at the start of the block.
The theme this time is: Around the World in 80 (milli)seconds.
The only difference is that this time, we will host it at the first Tuesday, not Wednesday.
This drink is a great opportunity to chat with your fellow students about other things than the courses!
Therefore we invite you all to our second drink of this academic year, on Tuesday October 27nd, starting at 20:00.
Location is cafe De Twee Heeren, Platielstraat 17-19, Maastricht.
We have our own room upstairs, you can find those stairs at the right side of the bar (behind a door).
During the drink, we serve beer for €0,75! Soda will be €1,50.
We hope to see you all there!
Monkey Climbing
18 November - Details to follow
Monkey Climbing is a fun event where participants try to run through a course setup in a gym.
The goal is to reach the target in the least amount of time. Further details will follow.
Game Night
2 December - Details to follow
The current setup is dinner at the faculty and the pleasure of games afterward.
Incognito will supply boardgames, but you are encouraged to bring your own!
You will receive an email once the details of this event are known to us.
BOB III
6 Januari
As always, we organize a block opening drink at the start of the block.
The current setup is that we incorporate the constitutional drink of the new board with BOB 3.
Details will follow.

Beta 1 on 1
Hour salary: €9
Dates: 3 & 7 Nov. 1 Dec. 5 & 19 Jan. 2 & 9 Feb.
Time: 4 Hour sessions
Beta 1 on 1 is an event sponsored by the Dutch Government in which
students of a university help and guide high school students through a
project.
Our faculty hosts two projects: How to program a Robot and Save the WildLife.
Your main purpose will be to help the students, course instructions and information will be supplied to you.

Promo Team
Hour salary: €9
Dates: Irregular
Help us promote the faculty at class days, and other promotional events!
You will receive a one-time training of 2 hours, for which you will be compensated.
Events are on a irregular basis and non-compulsory,
so this means that if you have pressing events (like exams) you do not have to participate.
The promoteam is the ideal way to make money without the pressure of deadlines.
